Poonam started NEEV Research in 2014, a research organisation working towards increasing social impact, campaign evaluations and developing robust research models. The organisation works with CSR bodies, Government bodies, researchers, policymakers, and think tanks to bring out the real and hidden stories behind the numbers. At NEEV, she has spearheaded projects which have successfully conducted more than one million interactions and interviews in the last eight years. Poonam has worked extensively on socio-political studies in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Chattisgarh, Punjab and Meghalaya in the last fifteen years. She brings a deep understanding of different territories, linguistics, cultures, and vast field experiences needed for customised and complex research designs. Her aim is to continue working towards sustainable development goals with a special focus on gender equality and women empowerment.

 

Poonam is passionate about working towards a more empowered democracy. She believes this is only possible by engaging youth, women, and the marginalized in the electoral processes. She enjoys traveling all over the country to gain new perspective of our diverse demographics. She loves to read for learning as well as pleasure, with a particular fondness for history, philosophy, and thrillers. Poonam received her master’s in Business Laws from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. She has also done her undergraduate degree from Miranda House College, University of Delhi and holds a diploma in IPR & IT from the Indian Law Institute.
